Hello, I am Alex and this is my journey from prep to year 6.
In prep, I really didn’t like going school, but I persisted through it all. My teacher was Rebecca (The now vice principal), Then about 3/4 through the year she became vice principal. Then we had another Rebecca, both teachers really helped me get through prep. In prep I also remember my buddy, Sam. I enjoyed being with him during buddies, he helped just as much as the teachers. I made many friends who I am still friends with now, like Christian, Albe, and also Ijaz who sadly left the school last year.
In year 1, I also didn’t like school at all, but same as prep, my teacher, Senada helped me a lot and helped me enjoy school just a bit. It was similar to prep but harder. But not much happened.
But in year 2, I had a little bit more fun and met new people. My teacher was Jess who helped as much as my other teachers and I also learnt a lot of helpful things. I also made more friends like Ben and Iggy.
In year 3, my teacher was Dave who made many fun activities and was quite funny. I also met new friends, like Deylan. But the main thing was camp which I was really excited about. At camp there were many fun activities like making pizza and beach activities.
In year 4, my teacher was Lee who wasn’t the most fun teacher ever but I still learnt a lot more from him then from some teachers. That year we were all excited about getting our computers but I was one of the last to get it and was jealous when my friends got them before me. I also made even more friends that year like Igor. I also had camp that year, in my cabin was Christian, Albe and Igor. That camp was interesting, the cabins weren’t very nice and in our cabin our air conditioner was broken and had dust. Many funny things happened like when I got up to go toilet early in the morning but the ladder was on Igors bed so I had to get to it but instead I fell and made a loud noise and It woke my cabin area but my cabin started laughing and over people came over, I wasn’t hurt but it was funny.
In year 5, my teacher was Ant who was an alright teacher, but that year we started getting much more homework, which I always left to Sunday night but always got done. I enjoyed that year a little bit because in the last term we got to sit where ever we wanted. We had camp again, but in Canberra, we didn’t do to many exciting things but it was a good experience. We also had sepep that year and I really enjoyed and my team won the whole competition, sepep improved my leadership and collaborative skills. And at the end of the year we had the public transport challenge, In my group was Igor and 2 other year 6’s, we sadly came last but had a lot of fun.
This year, my last year, year 6, has been pretty good so far, my teacher is Stef and I have learnt more than any other year and have had fun at times. But I enjoyed one thing more than anything else which was camp, I loved it because of surfing and snorkelling. And now I’m going to graduate after 7 years of primary school.
